How many of us wish we could get more done in a day, week, or year? Every hand goes up in response to that question, right? Well, Greg McKeown wants to change that. He says the goal should not be getting more stuff done but rather to get the right stuff done.

In episode #16 of the Decide to Lead podcast, Russ Hill interviews New York Times Best-Selling Author, Greg McKeown. Greg wrote a book called “Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less.”

Greg’s premise is that most of us are working too hard to do more rather than to simplify. In this interview with Russ, Greg reveals a personal experience that caused him to focus on what the idea of essentialism. He then walks through how cell phone notifications are a simple yet costly distraction for most of us.
